Dog bite

This morning I was bit by a dog. Let me paint the scene. Standing at the bus stop, 6:01am, it is dark as midnight and I am still mostly asleep. A women walks by with two dogs, a terrier and a medium sized lab mix. As I glance over to nod good morning and check out the pups- the Scotty dog bolts at me. BAM! It happens so quick I had no time to react. I wasn't frightened or curious or able to really process what was happening. As I stood there only partly awake, the dog was attacking my foot as if it were a scooby snack. No barking or growling, just a friendly "how you doin?" Chomp!! What did I do to provoke this? The woman struggles to restrain the dog while the bigger one gets interested in me. Cue the bus. The door opens, the woman gains control of the wild canine, the driver asks "you okay?" A whirlwind of activity is happening around me. I have arrived at the first decision of my morning- "am I upset?" "Do I have any damage to my big left toe?" "Can you spell litigate ($$)?"
Really, "what's up Ernie", I say as I board the bus and my day carries on. Maybe I can doze off on the train and realize this may have been a dream.
No animals were harmed in writing this story however my shoes aren't the same.
